Managing the pictures I take as become a big burden for me. There is so much I want to do with them that it takes a lot of time and effort. I want to email them to friends and family, put them on my blog, put them on Facebook, and print hard copies for traditional photo albums. It's too much and I don't know what to cut out. I always feel behind.
Not all of my family is on Facebook, so I still want to email them (and I email more than I would put on Facebook or my blog.) The blog lets me put in some back story on the photos. Facebook allows all of the friends I don't normally talk to to see them. I want to print them because there is nothing more fun than flipping through an album years later, especially for Elise.
It seems like this is just too much and I should be playing with Elise instead of doing all this. Something has to go......I just don't know what.

I may have an idea. Can you put them ALL on picasa, then link your blog and Facebook to Picasa? Just an idea. You could write a story, then post one or two pics on the blog and say, "for more pics, click here..."
ReplyDeleteTrust me, I have the SAME PROBLEM! I have a friend who takes all of her favorite pictures and every quarter, puts them into a book on Shutterfly instead of having individual prints made.
I am in the same boat- i do the blog, their baby albums and their scrapbooks. It is a lot! I usually concentrate on the blog and am constantly behind on their baby albums and scrapbooks. Oh- I also created an additional guilt complex by creating 2 journals for each boy where I write funny things they do or my thoughts on them as people. One more thing I am behind on.... if only we didnt need sleep right?
