So, work has taken it's toll on me having to, now, work full time until the store closes. I'm afraid the blog with suffer the consequences until January.
However......Elise is 7 months old and has gotten even better with age!
Here we are at Rivercenter - a day with Gigi:
She insists on sitting up now no matter what she's sitting on.
There are two bottom teeth! They are the CUTEST!!!
I had to have a photo of Lisey in my office before it's gone. It's bare because I don't do much work out of it anymore.
More has happened, so I hope to do more. You should know, though..... Christmas season is here - ugh.... retail.

Happy Half-Birthday!

Happy Half-Birthday Elise! You are six months old today! You are more than we could have EVER hoped for. You are such a happy baby and make everyone feel like you are truly happy to see them. You are the most wonderful girl in the world and we can't get enough of you.

We went to the Encino Park Craft Fair today and everyone ewwwed and awwwed at her while I carried her around in the Baby Bjorn. "What beautiful eyes! She is sooo pretty! She smiled at me!" She was definitely the main attraction.
These others were taken a few days ago. P.S. My top was on Oprah! Someone she was "Skyping" with was wearing it. Ha!

We love you, Elise, more than you can imagine.

First Cereal!

We tried rice cereal a couple of weekends ago!

It went surprisingly well. She actually ate some. She mostly wanted to play with the spoon and bowl, but it's a start! It's not in her regular diet, yet, but we're okay with slow and steady.

Sandra's Shower and a Family Gathering

It was a busy weekend that started with the baptism, then dinner at Tokyo Steakhouse. One of Sandra's favorites. Melissa and Jeff joined us. Lots of laughs and inappropriate jokes from our "chef." Elise thought the guy was a little sketchy, too. Next was Sandra's baby shower. This was the spread courtesy of Mom and Angie. Later, the same day, we gathered at Grandma's house for a small reunion. Mom, the victim of a Jody/Trevor sandwich. Trevor's turn between Angie and Mom. Everyone was exhausted and looking forward to relaxing. I really didn't get to take too many pictures, because I was just concentrating on surviving the weekend! It's great being that kind of busy.

New Toys and Bath Time

Elise would like to share photos of her new toys! She can actually press some buttons on purpose and she will spend up to 20 minutes in it! Yay! Thanks Grandma!

She can now sit on the couch between Mommy and Daddy and she loves it!

Her bath time towel from Jody's Grandma! I think it suites her well!

Thank you and goodnight!

We'll stick to the cartoon kind

Jody's Grandma bought a new owl for her house. Too bad I didn't get video of it because you should know that the owl makes a screeching noise and its head turns a complete 360 degrees. The picture below is before she saw it. This was after:
Good to know she doesn't scare too easily, like her Daddy. It was more like - "Uhhh, Mommy, what was that?"

How to stay at the lake the right way:

Elise and I got to spend four great days at Lake Fork. Angie's parents have a house on the lake there and it is beautiful. Mom, Dad, Elise and I (Jody had to work - boo) stayed in the apartment above the garage. It is so cute. Very relaxing with a lot of good conversation.
Brooke was awesome! It was so adorable to see her already wanting to play with Elise. She would scoot over to her every time and reach out to grab her. I can't WAIT until Elise can play with her.I didn't think I was a "put a hat on my baby" type of person, but I couldn't resist the cuteness. I call this her Lake House outfit. She didn't spend much time in the sun, but she sure did look good!Three of the the cousins! Brooke, Samantha and Elise. Samantha is already a great babysitter. Elise loved to watch her dance and listen to her sing. The constant entertainment was very much missed when we got home.It is really hard to tell how nice the view of the lake was from the back porch in this picture, but the lawn is so green and trees so pretty. Keith, Sam and Lilly are in the inflatable pool. The girls LOVED having their parents "swim" with them. I even got in once and played the role of "nice shark."This used to be a ball, but apparently got a hole in it. Sam put it on her head as she started to walk away and it made us all crack up. It's funnier in person because all those little rubber things jiggle with any movement. Elise and I can't wait to go back. Hopefully Jody gets to go next time. Oh, and I highly recommend Keith and Angie's cooking if you get the chance!
